Una cosa persa e poi ritrovata. Una traccia prodotto per il film H€IMAT molto tempo fa, ma poi mai usata. Sarà successo anche voi prima o poi: pulisci stanza, cerchi di mettere un po’ in ordine le cose e, mentre sei li che controlli quali degli innumerevoli e polverosi cd di backup puoi finalmente buttare, trovi qualcosa di inaspettato. Qualcosa che hai fatto molto tempo fa e ormai dimenticato, qualcosa che ti sorprende perché sembra fatto da qualcun’altro. Amo questi momenti.

A thing lost and found. A track produced for the film H€IMAT a long time ago, but then never really used. This might happen to you too, from time to time. You clean up some mess, put some order to your things, look through staples of CDs containing backups from long finished projects, and then you fìnd something you had already forgotten to ever have made, something that somehow really surprises you, becuase it does not sound as if you had really done that yourself. I love this moments.

Since I’m not really able to work right now, I’ve used the time to make me some new graphics on the RHI myspace page. Check it out! Sabato sono stato al MI AMI. Che ci facevi a Miami? Non a Miami, al MI AMI, a Milano… e cos’è, la festa dei cuori in pena? no no… è questa cosa qui

Insomma sono stato al MI AMI, insieme alla Sbrizz. Il tempo era bello e c’era discreta quantità di materiale umano. Siamo arrivati con lo stomaco che brontolava, ma c’era una fila lunga almeno 100 metri (e non è un’iperbole) alla cassa. Visto che l’idea di passare avanti spacciandosi per medico l’aveva già avuta qualcun altro il giorno prima, abbiamo optato per il baracchino della salamella che stava fuori. Come era da supporre c’erano un sacco di concerti, alcuni sicuramente anche interessanti, ma non ne abbiamo visto nemmeno uno perché come sempre al MI AMI c’era anche il MI FAI, l’area fumetti indipendenti, e ci siamo arenati li. Anche se di fumetti n’erano ben pochi. A rappresentare la scena c’erano solo: Selfcomics, Black Velvet, Inguine, Canicola, Simone Bazznella… e le Scimmie, (per fortuna almeno una faccia nuova! nel senso che non li avevo ancora incontrati di persona… ma su questo ci torno dopo).

Prosimian Dirty Dancing è il nome di un gruppo che ho creato un po’ di tempo fa assieme ad Armin Barducci e Matteo Cuccato. Ora il progetto sta per diventare ancora più interessante grazie all’aggiunta di due nuovi membri: Beatrice per la voce e Knob Alchemist per i suoni conturbanti. Ora dobbiamo solo risolvere il problema tempo. Nel frattempo ecco un’altra traccia dal film Highwaynausts!

Prosimian Dirty Dancing is the name of a band I created together with Armin Barducci and Matteo Cuccato some time ago, now the project is about to become even more interesting, since we have some new band members: Beatrice our future lead singer (girls yeah!), and Knob Alchemist, a guy who makes some incredibly disturbing noise (btw, check out his homepage!). If there was only more time to do all the great things one could do if there was enough time… but in the meantime, this is a new track from the Highwaynausts OST. enjoy!

Ci andate mai su myspace? io ci vado un sacco, anche perché con Monipodio! (ne parlerò nel dettaglio più avanti) stiamo facendo un progetto su myspace music. Mi faccio un sacco di giri e mi ascolto molti gruppi (scoprendo cose veramente fantastiche a volte). Da un lato sono queste le cose che ti fanno apprezzare al meglio innovazioni tecnologiche come i “tabs” di firefox, l’unico inconveniente è che se hai 10 tabs aperti e non hai spento i player delle rispettive pagine viene fuori un macello come questo che sentite… che da un lato è pura e semplice cacofonia, ma dall’altro, ad un livello più concettuale è il suono di myspace… è myspace nella sua vera essenza.
A proposito… anch’io mi sono fatto uno spazio myspace per i miei svaghi musicali, ovvero per Rumpelfilter Heavy Industries, e ne abbiamo fatto anche uno per Monipodio!

Do you ever browse through bands on myspace? I do it a lot, mainly because with Monipodio! we’re working on a project on myspace music (more on that topic soon!). It’s in these moments when you learn to love modern browsing tecnology like tabs in Firefox, but on the other hand when you have 10 tabs open and you didn’t stop all the players on the pages you’ll end up hearing a mess like this. On one had it’s pure cacophony, but on the other, on a more conceptual level, it’s thesound of myspace, its very essence
