Napoli ancora
Man mano mi rendo conto che sono ancora molte le cose che vorrei raccontare di Napoli… questo è un disegno che ho fatto per i gestori del bedandbreakfast I Vicoletti dove eravamo sistemati. Mica scemi loro, si fanno fare un disegno da tutti gli autori che passano… prima o poi diventiamo famosi e loro possono vendere i lavori su ebay!
As you might have noticed I have been in Naples (sorry I was too lazy to provide an English translation for the last post). Thigs have been great down there, I have met a lot of people, drunk a lot of free beer, get some interesting contacts and proposals… and finally seen the legendary city of chaos!
Ho comprato un sacco di fumetti, ovviamente, ma uno che consiglio un sacco a tutti gli amanti del linguaggio (e al suo sezionamento) è Esercizi di Stile di Matt Madden, un libro che trasporta al fumetto l’idea di Queneau e lo fa in un modo molto divertente e intelligente. Tra l’altro a Napoli ho anche avuto la fortuna conoscere Matt Madden di persona e parlarci un po’ e mi ha fatto un’ottima impressione, una persona assolutamente umile e simaptica! Prossimamente altri consigli sugli acquisti, ne ho una lista interminabile!
Of course I bought a lot of comics in Naples, but there’s one everybody who’s into comics should have: Matt Madden’s 99 Ways to Tell a Story: Exercises in Style a book that takes Queneaus experiments into comics, and is pretty whitty at it. In Naples I had the luck to know the author himself and talk a bit with him. I must say, the first impression is that of a very nice and absolutely humble guy!
